capturing time

Where does the time go? It never seizes to amaze me how quickly time flies. Quite often I find myself in a warped time trap. Warped because I am becoming a slave to the clock rather than its master. “Ichigo Ichie,” I keep reminding myself, “Ichigo Ichie.” Ichigo Ichie ( 一期一会) translates to “one time, one meeting”. It is a poem that has become synonymous with a Japanese Tea Ceremony suggesting that the moment that people first encounter each other should not be taken for granted as it may never happen again. Make the best effort to use this time to create the meaningful meeting. Yet I fall into the deadline trap time and time again because everywhere else in the dog eat dog reality – time is money. When I do make time for myself however I make the best use of it by associating with positive people,  capture the moment on a keyboard, or freeze it through the lens. This page is dedicated to lens because a picture is simply worth a thousand words in color or black and white.
